Yojimbo

Yojimbo is a new MacOS-only tool that stores the bits of information that can be such a challenge to manage:  URLs, serial numbers, passwords, notes, articles, and even archives of web pages.  No matter where you are:  on a web page, reading a document, email, etc, all you do is copy the thing in question, press F8 (and at this point you can have options to organize, which you can ignore) and your item is now stored automatically into an appropriate folder in Yojimbo.  You can find it again by navigating the folders or by using Spotlight.  Passwords are automatically encrypted (and anything else can be, too, if you choose).

It's a great example of a basic, personal information assistant.  I just hope it doesn't behave like Toshiro Mifune's Yojimbo in Akria Kurosawa's film and sell me out to my enemies!  Better keep an eye on that one...
